Upward Bound takes young “Backpackers” on a delightful VBS trek following Jesus’ rugged and radical journey from the heights of Heaven and back to win our salvation. Costumed storytellers, personalized “Trail Journals,” lively singing, theme-related crafts and outdoor recreation, tasty “Trail Treats,” and more create an exciting and significant summertime experience. All children are welcome at Upward Bound, so invite your neighbors, cousins, and friends! Just complete the registration form (click below to download the registration form), mail or scan and e-mail it to us, and you’re ready to hit the trail! Ortega Supporting Charleston Church Plant

We at Ortega are deeply committed to the principles embraced by the motto of our denomination: Faithful to the Scriptures, True to the Reformed Faith, and Obedient to the Great Commission of Jesus Christ. Thus, we are pleased to publicly announce, and encourage your prayerful support of, a new home missions/church planting effort that is to be begin later this year in Charleston, S.C. The Rev. Dr. Jon Payne, currently pastor of Grace Presbyterian Church in Douglasville, GA, has accepted a call to plant a self-consciously confessional PCA church in the historic city of Charleston. We are particularly excited to support this new work financially and prayerfull since it will share our own commitments to the Gospel, the Scriptures, and our Reformed heritage and confessions.
Jon is known to us as the author of book In the Splendor of Holiness: Rediscovering the Beauty of Reformed Worship for the 21st Century, an excellent primer we often give to visitors to explain our commitments to worship God acceptably. We also enjoy occasionally welcoming visitors from Grace Presbyterian, several of whom worship with us when visiting in Jacksonville. We encourage you to pray for Dr. Payne as he transitions from Grace Presbyterian to the new work in Charleston.
